Late Iranian director Yadollah Samadi is to be honored at the Resistance International Film Festival.

The 15th edition of the festival will honor the memory of late director Yadollah Samadi.

Born in 1952, Yadollah Samadi has directed a number of TV series, including ‘Passion to Fly’ (2007-2011) and ‘The Haft Seen (The Seven ‘S’)’ (2013).

He has also made several motion pictures such as ‘The Bus’ (1985), ‘Station’ (1987), ‘Apartment 13’ (1990), ‘Two and a Half People’ (1991), ‘Domrol’ (1993), ‘The Miracle of Laughter’ (1996), ‘My Lady’ (2002), ‘City of Chaos’ (2005), ‘Private Precinct’ (2008) and ‘The Other’s Father’ (2014).

‘The Man Who Knew A Lot’ (1984), directed by Samadi, has received a Crystal Simorgh for Best Director.

A Crystal Simorgh for Best Screenplay was also awarded to his ‘Apartment 13’ (1990) at Fajr International Film Festival.

Samadi died at the age of 66 on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.

The RIFF is dedicated to productions on wars and the repercussions of armed conflicts in the world.

It also puts a spotlight on the resistance of the Palestinian people against the Zionist regime, Daesh and their terrorist attacks in the region, and the world’s tyrants and their backing of Daesh.

The RIFF is being organized every year by the Revayat Cultural Foundation and the Film Association of the Islamic Revolution and the Sacred Defense in collaboration with other cultural organizations.

The 15th edition of the RIFF will be held on November 26-December 1, 2018, at Felestin Theater Hall in Tehran.
